The Audience Insights feature analyzes the consumers of your brand or service. It helps you get to know your audience or influencers better, which means you will be able to refine your marketing campaigns or build a more effective communication strategy.

Audience Insights consist of:

Demographics

Here you will see general data on the number of the authors, their gender or geographical distribution.

Interests

This chart will help you understand, for example, which movies or food are your audience’s favorites.

💡Try to get the whole understanding of your audience's interests first, and then feel free to dive into the necessary segments.

YouScan detects interests in English 🇺🇸, Ukrainian 🇺🇦, Spanish 🇪🇸, German 🇩🇪 and French 🇫🇷.

Occupations

Your audience's top occupations help you understand better who your buyer persona is.

YouScan detects occupations in English 🇺🇸, Ukrainian 🇺🇦, Spanish 🇪🇸, German 🇩🇪 and French 🇫🇷.

Authors

We added Interests and Occupations to the list of top authors. Thus, you will be able to segment the audience to search for influencers more precisely and further cooperate with them.

In this section, you can learn (from left to right):

  • The author's username;

  • Interests

  • Number of readers

  • Number of mentions;

  • Influence score;

  • Engagement rate.

We derive interests and professions from the author's profile. Not every author and source provides this data, however, what we get is enough to find insights or segment the audience.

☝️ By clicking on the author's name, you can read all the posts they published in the mention stream.

You can choose between nano, micro, or macro influencers with just a simple click. The system will automatically filter authors by the number of subscribers. This means you can tailor your influencer marketing strategy to reach the right audience size for your brand.

Sorting options and how to choose the best one for you

By engagement

Sorting by engagement allows you to find authors whose posts resonate the most with your audience (by receiving the highest number of likes, shares, and comments). Sometimes the author with fewer followers but highly engaging posts can be better for collaborations.

☝️ You can use filters to fine-tune your search.

For example, to find users who are talking about your product, you can:

  1. Exclude the "Article" and "Commerce" auto-categories to avoid sponsored posts, ads, and news media;

  2. Select only men and women to exclude pages and groups.

By readers

This option allows you to sort top authors by the number of subscribers or followers. Sorting authors this way can help you find thought leaders and influencers who mention you.

By mentions

This option is great for finding brand advocates who support and defend your brand. Or you can use this option to catch detractors and address any issues they might have.

By influence score
This option helps you identify the most influential voices in your industry. Influence Score measures the amount of interaction an author's content gets compared to views or followers. This score is calculated relative to other authors from the same platform or source. It ranges from 1-10 for each author, based on their engagement rate compared to the average engagement rate generated by authors from the same source.

By engagement rate
Engagement rate (ER) measures the percentage of the audience that somehow reacts or responds to an authors content with likes, comments, shares, etc. The formula looks like this:

ER = ((Likes + Comments + Reposts) / Posts) / Followers

* 100%

💡 You can do similar things for competitor analysis or a broader analysis of your field. For example, you can create a general topic about beauty and make-up and find the most active authors in that topic.
