In this article, you will discover:
Once you have been successfully registered as a new user, you will have several login methods: using your login and password or Single Sign-On (SSO).
What is SSO?
Single Sign-On (SSO) gives you full authority over user authentication and authorization for accessing YouScan products. You can use it as an alternative login method.
Apart from heightened security and governance, SSO offers additional advantages:
You can centralize control and give all new employees access to YouScan and revoke access without hassle.
Streamlined user experience and time-saving by eliminating the need to enter numerous login credentials.
Reducing password fatigue from multiple username and password combinations.
Fewer risks. Your employees no longer have to note their passwords. With that, there will be reduced risks of passwords getting into the wrong hands.
How does logging in with SSO work?
☝️To begin using SSO, please contact your Customer Success Manager or our Support Team for a tailored, step-by-step setup process. The necessary details may differ depending on your company specific SSO solution.
First login for new users
When you're added as a new user, you'll receive an invitation email containing a link to log in with SSO. Simply follow the link provided in the email to access YouScan using SSO. No need to set up any passwords in YouScan.
Next login
Press "Login with SSO" on our default login screen.
Enter your company name, proceed with SSO login and press “Submit”.
After “Submit” You will be redirected to your third-party authentication provider.
Following a successful authentication, you will be directed to the Home page.
Alternatively, you may use a unique link generated specifically for your company, for example: https://app.youscan.io/login/sso/companyname.
Another option is to utilize a launcher page, where all the tools your company uses, including YouScan, are conveniently labeled. This should be configured on your company's side for easy access.
☝️ If your organization has enabled Single Sign-On (SSO), by default all users will be required to log in using this method. However, exceptions can be made if, for example, external stakeholders do not utilize the same IdP as the rest of the organization. Please use the option to log in using your password and login credentials.
How to delete a user from SSO?
To revoke access to your account:
Delete users from an account;
Restrict access to your SSO solution (e.g., when a user is no longer working in the company)
Availability
SSO is available to YouScan customers subscribed to Enterprise 1M+ plans.
