Slack is a popular corporate messenger used by many businesses to streamline their internal communications and workflows. You can automatically (or manually, if you choose) send mentions from YouScan directly to your Slack channels.

You can set up a Slack integration in your YouScan dashboard by following these 4 steps:

Step 1. Navigate to the topic you want to monitor and open its settings. Select Integrations from the right-hand menu.

Step 2. Click «Add» next to the Slack integration option.

Step 3. A new window will open. Click «Authorize Slack».

Step 4. An authorization window will open. Select your desired channel or the direct message option from the dropdown menu and click «Authorize».

And you're done! The integration is now ready to use.

How to automatically send mentions to Slack

You can use conditional statements (rules) to set up your mentions to be sent to Slack automatically. For example, you can send all mentions related to a certain product to team members responsible for this product’s promotion.

To create a new rule, open your mention stream, and apply the desired filters. Then, select all mentions and click «Create rule with this filter».

It is possible to get all the new mentions to Slack. Just select all mentions without applied filters and hit the yellow magic wand to create a rule.

How to manually send individual mentions to Slack

You can also send individual mentions to Slack by manually selecting them from the stream. To do so, click the «Share» button on the chosen mention and select Slack from the list of available integrations.

This is what the mention looks like in Slack:
